Lucas
Gymnastics is the place to learn
gymnastics in the Johnson County area. With
many different programs to foster the
development and growth of each student, they
are committed and dedicated to giving every
student the opportunity to excel at her own
pace and reach her potential.
Gymnastics is
the foundation of all athletic endeavors.
The level of conditioning, strength,
balance, coordination and flexibility
acquired through participation is found only
in gymnastics. Your child will gain new
confidence about herself and knowledge of
physical fitness that will last a lifetime.
Lucas
Gymnastics is owned by Marti and Spencer
Lucas. They opened up Lucas Gymnastics 11
years ago in a small building in downtown
Burleson. Since, they have moved to the
Joshua/Burleson area (the building is in
Burleson and the street is Joshua) into a
new and larger facility.
Marti Lucas
has been involved in gymnastics for over
thirty years and teaching gymnastics for
more than twenty. Her motivation is
gymnastics itself, and the fulfillment of
passing on to her students the enthusiasm
and joy it has given to her.
Spencer Lucas
has been involved in physical education,
martial arts, weightlifting, boxing and
gymnastics. He is a black belt in Tai Kwon
Do and a personal fitness instructor. He is
a strength and conditioning coach as well as
a personal trainer for adults and young
athletes. His knowledge and experience in
teaching and personal training go back more
than 20 years.
Marti and
Spencer believe it to be a privilege to be
able to work with young people and always
try to be positive and strive to instill
confidence and self-esteem into all the
people that they work with. They believe
that anything worth doing is worth doing
right.
They are also
family oriented, having four kids of their
own, Garrett (14), Silas (12), Darrian (10) and
Shane (5).
